D.C. Radio Psychic Helps Launch Congressional Campaign

Who knew that 94.7 Fresh FM’s “The Tommy Show” could be the launchpad for a congressional career?

On Thursdays, the show brings on psychic Sherry Sherry to advise listeners and give them counsel. And it was on May 2 that Sherry might have provided the impetus for the next great American congressional candidate when Afghan War veteran Cole called in with a question that only Sherry could answer.

“My question is, should I run for political office?” he said.

“I see two words: Hell, yea,” she responded.

“So, Cole, I don’t know what you’re thinking of running for and you may not win the first time out, but it is, like, your life path.

“I personally would never, ever choose politics; I think it’s too vicious,” Sherry continued. “But, I think you have things to do from a soul level in that direction.”

“Well, I mean, I feel the same way,” Cole said. “And, actually, I wasn’t this political until after I was in Afghanistan the first time.”

“Wait a minute. Wait a minute, Cole,” the show’s Jen Richer said. “What do you want to run for? Where do you live?”

“Well, I live in Stafford, [Va.],” he replied. “Ideally, the U.S. Congress.”

“You’re talking to two constituents right now,” the show’s Kelly Collis said.

“Well, thank you,” he said.

Richer then asked Sherry if we can expect to see Cole in the White House.

“Uh, no,” Sherry said. “But, I think we’ll see him on the Hill, and so just remember us little people, OK?”

“I’m one of those little people,” Cole assured her before he hung up, presumably to start raising money.

“Thanks for calling,” said the show’s Tommy McFly. “Did he just announce his candidacy on our show?”

“I think he might have,” Collis said.
