Do you bear an uncanny resemblance to some of the most well-known political figures of the modern era? Can you handle hearing LMFAO’s shuffle-inducing “Party Rock Anthem” for the umpteenth million time without bashing your own brains in?
Then Pauly Shore’s got a gig for you.
The comedian is fine-tuning his upcoming show (“Pauly-Tics”) at the 9:30 Club and has put a call out for iconic doppelgangers and local rappers who wish to be included in the cable TV taping Saturday, June 30.
Shore is planning to have political look-alikes close out the show with a dance number parodying the ubiquitous dance club tune. His dream troupe includes: Kim Jong-il, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Vladimir Putin, Moammar Gadhafi, Saddam Hussein, Sarah Palin and President Barack Obama.
Interested parties must submit a one-minute video of themselves dancing in character to email@example.com by June 28 in order to be considered. Per Shore’s own YouTube plea, those selected will be invited to rock out on stage. It also might involve Palin making out with Obama.
The demands for aspiring rappers are more stringent. Singers have to be able to memorize and convincingly deliver a Pauly Shore-penned ditty titled “Obama Rap” that incorporates lyrics such as “You insult my wife/You say I’m from Kenya” and “You’ll be crying like a little b****/Or John Boehner.”
“Pauly-Tics” is scheduled to air on Showtime later this fall.
