McCain: Richard Sherman’s a ‘Loudmouth From Seattle’

It wasn’t all serious business when Sen. John McCain showed up on a local Phoenix radio show Tuesday.

Arizona’s senior senator made sure to call out the Seattle Seahawks’ trash-talking cornerback Richard Sherman as a “loudmouth” and underscored his grudge against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

McCain said he was picking Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos over Sherman’s Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

“I think Denver. You know, everybody is such a Manning fan,” McCain told KFYI radio. ”That loudmouth from Seattle sort of epitomizes the Seattle team to me. … I’m sure I’m going to get in trouble for that one, too.”

McCain didn’t sound like he was a fan of Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll, either, after the radio host referred to Carroll’s departure from the University of Southern California in the midst of a scandal. Of course, McCain’s Arizona Cardinals are divisional rivals of the Seattle franchise.

Just minutes earlier, after some generally positive comments about the local NBA and NHL teams, McCain said of the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team: “Now what we need to do is have the D-backs beat the crap out the Dodgers every time we play them.

“I will never forget [the Dodgers] jumping in that swimming pool. I’m telling you, I don’t hold a grudge against old political opponents,” McCain said. “I hold a grudge for the Dodgers jumping into that swimming pool.”

Dodgers players celebrated clinching last year’s division title in a swimming pool just beyond the outfield wall at Chase Field, the home of the Diamondbacks.

“Talk about no class. Spoiled rich brats,” McCain said, speaking of the Dodgers.

Mr. McCain, you could have been speaking about yourself, the loudmouth from Arizona.

What have you done in the past 15 years to benefit anyone but yourself?

John McCain really lost it mentally since his two humbling landslide presidential defeats. Since the American people very soundly and overwhelmingly rejected McCain with his out of touch, outdated and warmongering views twice for the presidency. He really lost his mental competence to be in the United States Senate. The leadership of the GOP should demand his resignation at once.
