Rep. Betty McCollum’s staff did just that today when a traditional bagpiper strode into the office to serenade the birthday girl:
The Minnesota Democrat was excited by her mystery present, but she may be getting used to the whole impromptu musical interludes thing.
Staff told HOH that former Rep. David Obey (D-Wis.) once broke out his harmonica and played her a special tune during an Appropriations Committee hearing.
