On Saturday, the Washington Nationals announced that the fifth candidate in its popular racing presidents shtick would be William Howard Taft, the nation’s chubbiest president.
Taft will join presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt in the fourth-inning dash to the finish. Though Taft’s visage does not grace a certain mountain in South Dakota, Taft is gaining his own pop culture following.
Former HOH editor Ryan Beckwith, now politics editor with Digital First, demanded that Photoshop superstar “Darthfish” make Taft the new Shaft.
