What’s Your Boss Waiting For?
Posted at 2:03 p.m. on July 30, 2012
Amateur boxer and New York Rep. Michael Grimm waited patiently today to watch boxer Marcus Browne at the Olympics in his preliminary bout.
The Congressman “has met Marcus several times and couldn’t be more proud to represent him,” says Carol Danko, Grimm’s spokeswoman.
Grimm cheered Browne, a Staten Island native, back in May when he qualified for the 2012 Games. The Congressman was looking forward to the bout and is extremely proud to represent this hometown hero. The fight was held earlier this morning, and we do know who won, but out of deference to Grimm, we shan’t share that part.
For his part, Grimm is looking for a sparring partner for a celebrity boxing match for charity. Anyone? How about you, Senate Majority Leader and former boxer Harry Reid (Nev.)?
Hey Members of Congress and Hill staffers, are you looking forward to a particular Summer Olympic sporting event? Shoot HOH an email and let us know which one and why.
